Dr. Will Draper

  • Dr. Will grew up in Inglewood, California, and graduated from Morningside High School in 1984 before matriculating to Tuskegee University (4th generation) for both undergraduate and veterinary medical studies.  He was accepted to veterinary school after only 3 years of undergraduate studies; and after receiving his DVM in 1991, he continued his training at North Rockville Veterinary Hospital in Rockville, Maryland before moving to Atlanta in 1992.  He loves music (big Dave Matthews Band fan), movies, painting with acrylics, and playing golf.  His areas of veterinary interest include dermatology, internal medicine, and surgery.  He recently had a local radio segment, "Critter Chatter". 

  • He married his classmate, Dr. Françoise Tyler, in September 1993.  They have 4 children: son David (9/97), and daughters Tyler (5/99), Gabrielle (11/01), and Olivia (7/03).  They also have 3 dogs (Gypsy, Harley and Angel) and 3 cats (Fagen, ZigZag and Caleb).

Dr. Françoise Tyler

  • Dr. Tyler is an Atlanta native and is a 1984 Woodward Academy graduate.  She attended the University of Georgia (UGA) prior to attending Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine.  She was accepted to Tuskegee after only 3 years of undergraduate studies at UGA. After graduating from Tuskegee in 1991, she completed a small animal internship at UGA, and then returned to Atlanta where she's been practicing ever since.  She loves dermatology, internal medicine, and exotic animal medicine.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, listening to jazz, and taking long walks with her family.

  • Dr. Tyler married her classmate, Dr. Will Draper, in September 1993.  They have 4 children: son David (9/97), and daughters Tyler (5/99), Gabrielle (11/01), and Olivia (7/03). They also have 3 dogs (Gypsy, Harley and Angel) and 3 cats (Fagen, ZigZag and Caleb).

Dr. Stacy Stacy

  • Dr. Stacy grew up in Stockbridge, GA before attending University of Georgia for both undergraduate and veterinary studies.  She received her DVM in 2003.  Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, cruciate repair and infectious diseases.  

  • Born Stacy Poulos, she married Chad Stacy, an architect, in August 2003.  They reside in Decatur with their daughter Ella, dog Bishop and cats Crawford and Annabel Lee. 

  • Her personal interests include exercise, gardening, home renovation, cooking and socializing with friends. 

  •  Dr. Stacy was honored as one of Atlanta's "Best Vets" in the Feb. 2009 issue of Atlanta magazine.

Dr. Brigit Villines

  •  Dr. Villines was born in Zug, Switzerland; and since she moved around so much as a child she calls this her hometown.  She received her DVM from the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993, and is affiliated with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA). 
  • She and her husband Joshua, married in 1995, live in Decatur and have a son, John Francis.  They also have two cats Nani and Lilo.  She also has a National Show horse, Miracle. 
  • She enjoys reading, singing, and crafting.

Dr. Matthew Miller

  • Dr. Miller was born in Anchorage, Alaska. Being a military brat, he lived in many different places before settling in Georgia. Dr. Miller graduated with high honors from the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. 

  • Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Miller worked as a technician with Dr. Will Draper in Tucker, GA.

  • Dr. Miller and his wife Stephanie have two children:  their daughter, Hailey, and son Benjamin. They also have two mixed-breed dogs, Sadie and Marty, and three cats, Leighla, Twisty, and Trinca.  

  • He enjoys home renovation and spending time with his family.

Dr. Melissa Finke

  • Raised in Long Island, NY, Dr. Finke received both her Bachelor's degree in 1995 and her D.V.M. in 1999 from the University of Georgia.

  • Having previously worked at a practice in Woodstock for 6 years,  she loves all aspects of veterinary medicine; but has a special interest in surgery.

  • In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horse, Kahlua, and traveling.  She has a Weimaraner named Bo and 2 cats, Frankie and Vinny.

Dr. Anna Joyner

  • Born in Durham, NC, Dr. Joyner grew up in Stone Mountain and graduated from Avondale High School of Performing Arts. She is an accomplished cellist (has played with Yo-Yo Ma) and soprano. 

  • She graduated from Emory University before attending University of Georgia, where she received her DVM in 2004.  Her interests include internal medicine and surgery.  She also enjoys some exotic animal medicine.

  • She has 10 cats and 3 dogs.  She will be "tying the knot" with her fiancé, Kris Ball, on December 19, 2009. 

  • She loves "the family atmosphere and compassionate patient care" at The Village Vets.

Dr. Amy Baden

  • Dr. Baden was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin before moving to Atlanta in 2001.  After initially working at Zoo Atlanta, she joined The Village Vets family as a veterinary technician.  In 2005, she left to attend vet school at the University of Georgia, where she served as the Class of 2009 president and worked as the Nestle Purina student representative.  Dr. Baden graduated vet school May 2009.

  • Dr. Baden lives in Decatur (Oakhurst) with her husband David and their four-legged children - two mix breed dogs (Big Al and Clinton), and three cats (Toes, Frankfurter and Dinah- and the occasional foster kitten).

  • In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with Dave and the dogs, traveling, listening to live music and "watching the lightening bugs at night on a screened porch".  Her special veterinary interests include behavioral, nutritional, and exotic animal medicine.

Dr. Ashley Alford

  • Dr. Alford grew up in College Park, Ga and graduated from Westlake High School in 2001.  She attended Tuskegee University and received her bachelor's degree in Animal and Poultry Science.  Upon graduation, she continued her education at Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine, receiving her DVM in May 2009.

  • Prior to vet school, Dr. Alford worked as a veterinary technician with Dr. Will at The Village Vets of Decatur.

  • Her personal interests include football, traveling, socializing with friends, and playing with her American Bulldog, Nola.

Dr. Laura Edison

  • Dr. Edison was born and raised in New York City.   She attended Vanderbilt University and moved to Atlanta shortly after.  After working as a horse trainer and then computer programmer, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian and graduated from The University of Georgia in 2003. She worked in Buckhead for four years before joining The Village Vets in October 2007.  

  • Laura and her husband Mike Boardman, a middle school teacher, have two daughters, Audrey (8/04) and Eliza (8/06).  They also have two dogs, Henry and Elvis, and two crazy white cats, Luna and Rico.  

  • In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, field trips around Atlanta with the kids, traveling, horseback riding and reading.

Dr. Janine Franco

  • Dr. Franco is an Atlanta native, and after graduating from Woodward Academy matriculated to University of Pennsylvania where she received her undergraduate degree.  She received her DVM from University of Georgia in 2006. She joined The Village Vets of Decatur in June 2008.

  • Janine and her husband Alan live in Decatur with their daughter Eden, cats Riesling and Brown Guy, and their dog Alfie.

  • Dr. Franco is conversant in Spanish, and is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
