Dr. Laura Hooper Joins The Village Vets Buckhead Team
Dr. Laura Hooper was born and raised in Lexington, SC. After graduating from high school in 1998, she completed her undergraduate degree in animal and veterinary sciences at Clemson University. She then attended Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2007. Following veterinary school, she completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Auburn University. She has been practicing in the Chamblee-Dunwoody area of metro Atlanta since 2008. Dr. Hooper and her husband, Matt, along with their two young daughters, live in Smyrna. A true Clemson Tiger, Dr. Hooper participated on the softball and lacrosse teams while there. We are very excited to welcome her to The Village Vets family.
Dr. Laura Hooper joins Drs. Megan Stewart and Amy Mathews (L to R, as shown below) and the rest of our strong Buckhead team. As with our other practices, we offer top-quality medical care for owned pets; and as well as providing services for the growing number of rescue groups/pets.
Dr. Mathews has been practicing in the Buckhead area for over 21 years, and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our new practice. Dr. Stewart recently graduated from Ross University, and has worked with Dr. Mathews as both a vet assistant, vet extern, and veterinarian over the last few years. This practice is also staffed with faces you already know from our Decatur practice, as well as Buckhead Animal Clinic's team.
